Things To Know Before Getting Invisalign Treatment
September 19, 2022 / Leave a comment
Invisalign is a treatment option for people who are unhappy with their wearing of traditional removable or fixed braces. It is designed to straighten your teeth without the need for metal braces. Here are the things you should know before getting your Invisalign treatment.
Invisalign is a dental treatment that uses clear plastic aligners to change the shape of your teeth. The aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth exactly, and they gradually grind away your teeth's outer layer over time. This process allows your teeth to move into their new, straighter alignment.

There are a few things you should know before getting Invisalign treatment:
1. You will need at least two sets of aligners – One set for the front teeth and one set for the back teeth. You will also need two sets of retainers, or caps, to keep your teeth in their new alignment while the aligners are wearing off.
2. You will need to visit a dentist every three months during the treatment process to have the retainers replaced. If you miss a dentist appointment, the retainer may not be replaced properly and could cause further damage to your teeth.
3. There is no guarantee that Invisalign will work for everyone – It is especially effective if you have irregularly shaped teeth. If you are considering Invisalign treatment, please consult with a dentist first to see if it is right for you.
